We’re stoked to roll our BRAND new Burton Snowboard Rentals for that little grom in your life. We want to help make this Winter the most memorable season for your child and the right gear is a great place to start. Potter Brothers has partnered with Burton Snowboards to offer a perfect solution to get your child riding with confidence and embark upon a sport they’ll enjoy for the rest of their life. Here are our top 3 tips to get the ball rolling:
# 1 Rent for the Season
A Seasonal Rental Package consists of a full setup of snowboard, snowboard boots, and snowboard bindings. This gear is perfect for getting started with snowboarding or taking your first turns to the next level. Seasonal Rentals are also the most affordable way to get into snowboarding and without the worry of your child outgrowing his gear. (learn more)
# 2 Size it up Right!
To maximize on your child’s on mountain experience it’s so important they are fitted correctly into the right size board and boots. It’s tempting to save some dough and borrow your neighbors kids kit but riding on the wrong sized gear can throughly affect you riders experience. If Snowboard boots are not the perfect fit you will hear about it all day. An uncomfortable kid makes it a challenge for everyone. Our staff will make sure your child is properly sized and fully educated on how to put on their boot and strap into their bindings all by themsleves. They’ll be happy and comfy and ready to ride with the right size setup.
# 3 Practice Gearing-up
The last thing you want to do is have your your rider getting into his or her gear for the very first time the morning of day one. It’s so important that you introduce your child to their gear weeks leading up to their first day. Spend a few afternoons having them put their boots on and walking around your living room (preferably a carpeted area) have them practice getting their feet in and out of their bindings (snowboarders spend a lot of time strapping in and out). Make them comfortable and stoked about wearing their gear!
